Paver Restoration in Cape Coral, FL

Plenty of Cape Coral driveways and pool decks have been through a lot: years of full sun, summer downpours on sandy fill, salt air off the canals, and patch jobs after Hurricane Ian. The result is faded color, weeds in the joints, low spots and replacement pavers that never matched. Restoration brings the whole surface back instead of covering it up. I'm Aaron Kochheiser. Paver Savers & Concrete, LLC has worked in Cape Coral since 2010. It's just over the bridge from our base in Fort Myers.

What we see on Cape Coral pavers

  • Sun-faded color. Pavers in full sun all day lose color, and the difference shows next to shaded areas.
  • Weeds and grass in the joints. On larger lots and along canal-side decks, weeds take over once joint sand washes out.
  • Low spots on sandy fill. Washout under the pavers lets sections settle, especially where roof and pool-cage runoff lands.
  • Storm patchwork. Sections reset or replaced after Ian often sit at different heights and colors.
  • Seawall-side decks. A dip at the back of a waterfront pool deck can be normal settling or a sign of a seawall problem. We'll tell you straight which we think it is.

What a Cape Coral restoration includes

  • Failed sealer removal. We visually inspect the existing sealer and strip it if it has failed.
  • Heavy weed removal. We pull out established weeds and grass and clear the old joint sand.
  • Deep cleaning. Mold, algae and buildup, with stain treatment where needed.
  • Repairs. We lift and re-level low spots, correct the base and replace broken pavers.
  • Re-sanding. Polymeric sand to lock the joints.
  • Recoloring. Brings back faded color and helps storm-replaced pavers blend with the originals.
  • Resealing. The highest quality two-part water-based urethane sealer.

Restore or replace?

If most of the pavers are sound, restoring them usually makes more sense than tearing them out. Replacement makes sense when pavers are broken across the whole surface or you want a new layout. In that case, see paver installation. We'll tell you honestly which way we'd go.

How a Cape Coral restoration works

  1. Send photos. Show the whole surface, the faded and weedy areas, and where water sits after rain. Tell us if you're on a canal.

  2. Assessment. Pavers, existing coating, joints, edges, drainage and the seawall side of the deck.

  3. Restore. Stripping, weed removal, cleaning and repairs as needed.

  4. Re-sand, recolor and seal. Polymeric sand, recoloring if you want it, then the sealer. Walk after one hour; drive the next day.

  5. Maintain. Reseal every 2 to 3 years, or join the annual maintenance plan.

Driveway and lanai were power washed and sealed. They look amazing! Aaron and team did a great job. We are very pleased!

Beth S.

Aaron from Paver Savers is awesome. … He leveled and sealed our drive way and took special care while working around the house and yard. Price was very reasonable, I even had him do an extra patio and kept the quote the same. … Highly recommend Aaron and Paver Savers.

David

Very respectful of our property and went above and beyond even installing a drain extender to hopefully prevent the issue from reoccurring. Nice interaction and willingness to repair any potential problems that might arise.

Cape Coral paver restoration FAQs

Can you make storm-replaced pavers match the originals?

Recoloring and cleaning and sealing the whole surface together are the best ways to help mismatched sections blend. How close the match gets depends on the pavers, so we'll go over realistic expectations on site.

Can you get rid of heavy weeds in my paver joints?

Yes. Heavy weed removal is part of our driveway restoration. We clear the weeds and old sand, then refill the joints with polymeric sand.

How soon can we use the pavers after restoration?

After the final seal, you can walk on freshly sealed pavers after one hour, and vehicles can go back on the driveway the next day.

How often should restored pavers be resealed?

We recommend resealing every 2 to 3 years. If you join our annual maintenance plan, we clean and seal your pavers every year, so the surface stays freshly cleaned and sealed.

Is restoration covered by a warranty?

Yes. All work backed by a full one year warranty.
