Paver Sealing in Bonita Springs, FL

Bonita Springs sits between the Gulf beaches and the Imperial River, with homes ranging from beach-side streets and older neighborhoods to large communities like Bonita Bay, Pelican Landing and Bonita National. Pavers are everywhere here, and so are the things that wear them down: salt air, strong sun and heavy seasonal rain. Paver Savers & Concrete has cleaned, repaired and sealed pavers in Southwest Florida since 2010, and we serve Bonita Springs from our base in Fort Myers.

Common paver problems in Bonita Springs

  • Coastal salt and moisture. Homes near Bonita Beach Road, Little Hickory Island and the bay pick up salt air that dulls color and encourages algae.
  • Flood and storm effects. Low-lying areas near the Imperial River and the coast have seen flooding during major storms. Standing water and debris can stain pavers, wash out joint sand and soften the base, leading to sunken or uneven sections.
  • Sun fade. Open driveways and pool decks lose color quickly without protection.
  • Damp, shaded areas. Preserves, lakes, mature landscaping and screened pool cages keep some surfaces wet, which leads to mildew and black staining.

Because flood and storm damage often affects what's underneath the pavers, we always check for movement and drainage issues before recommending a seal.

What's included in paver sealing

We start by assessing the paver or stone type, any old coating, the joints and how water drains across the area. A standard Bonita Springs project includes:

  1. Pressure cleaning. Removing dirt, algae, mildew, rust and general buildup so the true condition of the surface shows.

  2. Correcting problems first. Sunken pavers, loose edges, broken pieces and drainage concerns are handled before sealing. Sealer can't fix a low spot.

  3. Polymeric sand. Joints are filled with polymeric sand that hardens once activated, helping keep pavers in place and resist weeds, ants and washout.

  4. Sealing. We apply sealer to protect the surface and bring out color, after going over finish options with you.

  5. Maintenance timing. In this climate, plan on resealing every two to three years, depending on exposure and traffic.

If your current finish has turned white, hazy or is peeling, we can assess whether stripping is the right first step.

HOA and community rules

Bonita Springs has many gated and HOA-managed communities with architectural review, vendor registration or gate procedures and set work hours. Some also have guidelines on driveway finish. If you're considering a wet-look or color-enhancing sealer, check with your association first. Let us know your community name and any requirements when you reach out, and we'll plan accordingly. We can also coordinate with seasonal residents who are out of town.

Bonita Springs paver sealing FAQs

My pavers sank after storm flooding. Can they still be sealed?

Usually, yes, but the low areas should be lifted, re-based and reset first. We'll assess the surface and handle repairs before cleaning, sanding and sealing.

How often should pavers be sealed near the coast?

Most surfaces benefit from resealing every two to three years. Homes closer to the Gulf, or with shaded and heavily irrigated areas, may need it sooner.

Do you replace joint sand when sealing?

Yes. Polymeric sand is part of our sealing process and helps the joints resist washout from heavy rain.

Can you work in communities like Bonita Bay or Pelican Landing?

Yes. Share your HOA's vendor and gate requirements when you request an estimate, and we'll follow them.
