Paver Sealing in Naples, FL

In Naples, the driveway and pool deck are part of a home's first impression, and in many communities they're also held to a standard. Faded pavers, black mildew on a lanai or sand washing out of the joints stand out quickly. Paver Savers & Concrete has cared for pavers, travertine and concrete in Southwest Florida since 2010, and we regularly work in Naples and throughout Collier County.

What Naples weather does to pavers

From Old Naples and Park Shore near the Gulf to golf and country club communities east of I-75, Naples properties face the same set of conditions, just in different amounts:

  • Salt air near the coast. Homes near the beach, Port Royal, Vanderbilt Beach and the bay-side neighborhoods are exposed to salt-laden air that dulls finishes and encourages surface growth.
  • Year-round sun. Strong UV fades unprotected pavers and makes sealed surfaces lose their color over time.
  • Summer downpours. Heavy afternoon storms flush joint sand, which leads to weeds, ant hills and pavers that start to move.
  • Shade and irrigation. Mature landscaping, tall hedges and daily irrigation keep some areas damp, which is where algae, mildew and rust-colored irrigation stains tend to show up first.

Naples homes also use a lot of natural stone, especially travertine around pools and on lanais. Travertine is porous and needs a different cleaning approach and sealer than concrete pavers, which is why we look at the material before recommending anything.

Our paver sealing process

We start by assessing the surface: the paver or stone type, any existing coating, the joints and how water drains. A typical Naples sealing project includes:

  1. Pressure cleaning. We clean off dirt, algae, mildew and staining. On delicate stone we adjust our method so we don't damage the surface.

  2. Repairs first. Sunken areas, loose borders and broken pieces are addressed before sealing, because sealer can't correct structural problems.

  3. Polymeric sand. We refill the joints with polymeric sand, which firms up to help lock pavers together and resist weeds, insects and washout.

  4. Sealer application. We apply a sealer suited to the material, and we'll discuss finish options with you before we begin.

  5. Planning the next reseal. In this climate, most surfaces benefit from resealing every two to three years, depending on exposure and traffic.

If a previous sealer has turned white, hazy or is peeling, we may recommend stripping before resealing.

Working in Naples HOA and gated communities

Many Naples communities have strict architectural review rules, gate access procedures, approved contractor hours and sometimes guidelines on driveway finish or color. If your association needs to approve a wet-look or color-enhancing finish, it's best to check before work is scheduled. Just tell us your community name, gate instructions and any contractor rules when you reach out, and we'll plan around them. For seasonal residents, we can also coordinate access and timing while you're away.

Naples paver sealing FAQs

Do you seal travertine pool decks in Naples?

Yes. Travertine is common around Naples pools. We'll assess the stone and existing finish, clean it with an appropriate method and apply a sealer suited to natural stone.

How often should pavers be resealed in Naples?

Most surfaces benefit from resealing every two to three years. Coastal homes and heavily irrigated or shaded areas may need it sooner.

Can you work around my HOA's rules and gate access?

Yes. Share your community's contractor rules, approved hours and gate instructions when you request an estimate, and we'll schedule accordingly.

I'm a seasonal resident. Can the work be done while I'm away?

Often, yes. Let us know who can provide access and when the surfaces need to be usable, and we'll coordinate the details.
